Biography

Béatrice de Diego creates abstract works at the intersection of painting and sculpture. Her use of diverse materials, textured surfaces and sculptural forms gives her work a strong physical and spatial presence.

 

Her artistic practice began in the 1990s with early exhibitions in Switzerland and Spain. She later pursued a career in marketing, with a focus on product development, brand management and international projects. Art remained an essential part of her life. She continued to paint, developed sculptural works and created original and commissioned pieces for private collectors as well as selected interior and corporate projects.

de Diego now focuses fully on her artistic work. From her studio in a historic industrial building near Zurich, she creates new works and develops projects across her different series. Material, form and transformation are key elements of her distinctive abstract visual language.
